Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I contact you to see if you are the right therapist for me?

Yes. I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation so we can briefly discuss your needs, what you’re looking for in therapy, and whether my approach feels like a good fit for you.

2. What are your fees?

I believe everyone should be able to access high-quality mental health care.

I operate on a fee-for-service basis and accept:

  • NDIS (self-managed and plan-managed participants) 15_621_0128_1_3 Assessment Recommendation Therapy or Training - Social Worker

  • Mental Health Care Plans (Medicare rebates available with a valid GP referral)

  • Private Health Insurance (Bupa, HCF, Teachers Health, Doctors Health, St Lukes Health, Medibank & GMHBA) - rebates may be available depending on your level of cover. Please check directly with your health fund)

For individuals experiencing financial hardship, I offer a limited number of appointments at a sliding scale rate. If cost is a concern, I encourage you to discuss this with me so we can explore available options together.

My aim is to provide accessible, ethical, and sustainable support while maintaining the quality of care you deserve.

3. What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full session fee. This policy ensures fairness and allows the opportunity for another client to access the appointment time.

4. What types of appointments do you offer?

I offer:

  • In-person sessions

  • Telehealth (video) sessions

Standard appointments are 50 minutes in duration.

5. Do I need a referral to book an appointment?

No referral is required to book an appointment.

However, if you wish to access Medicare rebates under a Mental Health Care Plan, you will need a valid referral from your GP.

6. How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies depending on your goals, circumstances, and the complexity of the issues you would like to address.

Some people attend for short-term, goal-focused work (for example, 6–10 sessions), while others prefer longer-term support. We will regularly review your progress together to ensure therapy remains purposeful and aligned with your needs.
